11 Must Have Beach Essentials for Summer 2018

It’s finally beach season! Well, in Miami it’s basically summer every day. So going to the beach year-round is the norm. Especially when you live 15 minutes away from it. Plus who doesn’t enjoy relaxing at the beach after a busy week, bathing in crystal clear water and catching some rays?

Whether on the beach or on a boat 🙂 it’s best to be prepared. The last thing you need is to turn a fun day into a nightmare because you’re sunburned or forgot to pack something. I know I’ve been there many times, so I’ve created a list of beach essentials to make it easier for you.

BEACH ESSENTIALS

1. Beach Tote

For starters, I try and keep a beach bag packed at all times with my beach essentials. This way I don’t have to go through the same process every single time or possibly end up leaving something behind. There are so many options as far as a beach bag. I personally wanted something inexpensive since I will most likely be throwing it on the sand and possibly getting it wet. I love the design, rope handles and look of this bag. It’s big enough to fit towels, hats, drinks, lotions and more. Plus it won’t break the bank.

2. Sunscreen and Face Stick

This is a very important item to take to the beach. You don’t want to end up looking like a lobster. I try and use products with fewer chemicals, so I like to use Sun Bum. What I like about this product is that it’s paraben free, oil free, PABA free, cruelty-free, gluten free and 100% vegan.

3. Leave-in Hair Conditioner

For me, leave in conditioner is a must. Especially since I’m in the water all the time, so I try and protect it from the sun and salt as much as possible. Plus I can’t stand leaving the beach with tangled hair. I like using the 3-in-1 leave in conditioner from Sun Bum.

4. Sunglasses

This is another item you can’t go to the beach without. With all that sun, you’ll need some protection for your eyes. These Rayban sunglasses are my favorite.

5. Beach towel

I love these microfiber towels from Eden Cove. They’re lightweight, quick dry, absorbent and come with a drawstring pouch. They’re available in three different colors, mint green, sunset pink and teal blue. I purchased two these :-).

6. HatAdidas Strap back cap, Frayed Floppy Straw Hat, Panama Hat, Eric Javits Fedora Hat

This is another must-have. it’s a great way to protect your face from the sun and be stylish at the same time! I’ve included a few options depending on your style preference.

7. Naked Bee Lip Balm Sunscreen

This lip balm has SPF 15 so, it’s great for protecting your lips from the sun. It’s paraben free, no mineral oil and no chemical absorbers.

8. S’Well water bottle or Yeti Rambler

I never leave home without one of these. They’re the best at keeping your water very cold while in the sun. They’re pricey but totally worth it.

9. Wet Bikini Bag

This little bag is great for keeping your wet bikini separate and away from the rest of your items in your beach bag.

10. Bluetooth Speaker

I love listening to music especially at the beach. This is a great option for a Bluetooth speaker and it’s splashproof.

11. Skin Wipes

These wipes are great for taking the sand off your body. I absolutely dislike having sand all over me especially when leaving the beach. It’s not like I’m trying to build a sandbox at home or in the car. These wipes help solve that problem.

If you have any other must-have beach essentials that I haven’t mentioned above, write them below and I’ll make sure to add them.
