I am obsessed with Lavender. So if there is anything I can get in this amazing scent I definitely get it. I currently have hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, floor soap and body soap. I even spritz my pillow with a calming lavender scent before going to bed.
Since I have such a huge love for lavender, I was hoping to visit one of the fields while in France two years ago. Unfortunately, due to our schedule, I didn’t get the chance to. Since then, it’s been on my list of things to do. Fortunately, I was on Long Island a few weeks ago with a group of friends visiting the wineries out east when one of them mentioned there was a lavender field just an hour away. I was in shock and of course extremely excited. I even had the perfect halter wrap dress with me that would look perfect in the field.
Lavender by the Bay is located in East Marion, NY and has been rated by country living as one of the top six lavender farms to visit in America. It’s a family owned 17-acre farm with over 80,000 plants. For a full experience, the best time to visit is during the summer bloom typically June/July. When visiting, make sure to stop by their store and pick up some dried french lavender bunches (my favorite 🙂

These are not the fields you will see in France, but its a lot closer and will do for now. I still plan on visiting Provence very soon!
